Could they be any more fun?  Nope.

This couple has the best love story. It’s not mine to tell, but I’ll just say that these two were friends first… I love that! Friends for years. And years. And came back to eachother. Hope they always stay good friends and laugh first.

Love love their style! Guess what? They are great people too. Here are a few from their photo shoot in the Las Vegas desert.

Oh, this baby was so sweet! It makes me want a new one for a minute…:) Not happening. He is adorable, though and the family is so happy to have him. This is him at a week old.

And the last with his special quilt made from his Aunt.

Hey guess what? The photography studio is open!!! I’m super excited. If you haven’t yet, come check it out.  The Henderson Chamber of Commerce came out and did a fun ribbon cutting. They trusted me with gigantic, sharp scissors! Those Chamber people are pretty fantastic.  This is a picture with some of them as well as some of my family.  I had a so many of my friends and family members come throughout the day to say hi and check the place out.  It was very fun to show everyone what we have been working on.  My Mom brought several cases of water, fruit and delicious baked goods.

For my friends out of town and those that have asked in town, he’s a quick tour of the photography studio.
So here’s the front door-

When you walk in there is a small entrance then to the left is the sitting/viewing area.

so if you look past the sitting area, that’s the shooting area for the studio and the door to the office/natural light room as well as the bathroom.

If you walk into the shooting room then turn around, I have the seamless and fabric systems kind of dividing the room when they are pulled down or across. I love that it divides the room when I want it too.

I am so incredibly lucky to have such amazing friends and family that support me!

As she is getting older, so is the time when she can almost drive. Many adventures have been had on this bike. Riding to dance class, meeting friends at the park, and riding with friends to go shopping. It was her first taste of independence. I know she will continue to ride her bike, but know life is also changing fast. Cars, dates and less time home is coming. I can feel the pull. I am treasuring these little girl years she is still letting me still be a part of. Please let her always be a little girl at heart. xo

This gorgeous girl is about to hit it big in her career! She is moving to L.A. to live her dream. I completely admire that…the person that knows what their dreams are and goes after them.

As some of you know, my daughter (15) is a talented girl. She is in Photography 2 in High School and was given a challenge that she ran with. The challenge was to do a photo shoot using a white elephant gift they were to exchange. Guess what she got? Medicated powder! haha
She called her very sweet and willing model up and got to work.
The teacher loved her prints so much that he asked her to enter a few of them into the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. http://www.artandwriting.org/ This is a National competition for students that is “celebrating 87 years as the most prestigious recognition and scholarship program for teenage artists and writers in the U.S”
To our surprise and excitement, her two pieces were chosen for the gallery! Yay! So we went to the gallery and the awards show was at the same time. Seriously had no idea what a huge deal this was. The place was packed. In her division alone there were 1100 pieces entered, and the ones in the gallery straight up fantastic.
We were just kind of sitting in the back people watching and all of a sudden her name is called for a special recognition award. Woo hoo! Then, they call the silver award winners, then her name is called for the Gold award winners for her other piece! So imagine the excitement, right? We barely heard the announcer call the Best of Show we were still so shocked over the gold award. Brooke? Wait what? Yep, best of show! There was a small group of only 5! Wow! Huge honor and I could not be more proud! She is automatically entered into the National Awards this summer in New York. hmm sounds fun to me! I think a parent should be there, don’t you?

A quick peek at one of my favorites from a maternity shoot. She is a fantastic photographer and great friend (notice her tattoos…there is a camera in there). I shot this last week…she only had one week until she was due! Talked to her yesterday and she is in the hospital having her little baby girl…on her due date. So, I had to get this post up!
